According to CTOnews.com news on January 8, the first phase of customs clearance between Hong Kong and the mainland will be officially implemented at 00:00 today. Shenzhen and Hong Kong, as the central cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, have realized the code-scanning interconnection and mutual recognition of Shenzhen Metro and MTR heavy rail networks, according to Shenzhen Railway Group.

Starting from January 8, passengers can use any App of "Shenzhen Metro" App or "AlipayHK" App "Alipay" App to take Shenzhen Metro and MTR heavy Rail across cities in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

CTOnews.com learned that passengers using the "Shenzhen Metro" App only need to upgrade the "Shenzhen Metro" App to the latest version. When taking the MTR heavy Rail in Hong Kong, open the Transit QR Code interface and click "Shenzhen" in the upper left corner to switch cities. In the bottom list, select "Hong Kong" to activate the authorization in accordance with the guidelines, and bind the payment method to generate the MTR Transit QR Code to realize scanning the code.

Similarly, you can scan the bus in Shenzhen and Hong Kong by following the guidelines through "AlipayHK" App or "Alipay" App.

Note that the code scanning interconnection and mutual recognition covers all Shenzhen subway stations and MTR heavy rail network, excluding Shenzhen Longhua tram, as well as MTR airport express, light rail and MTR feeder bus services.

In addition, the payment channel for using the "Shenzhen Metro" App to take the MTR is limited to Alipay, and cannot accumulate mileage for the time being.
