The domestic sci-fi movie "wandering Earth 2" landed in North American cinemas: it was released simultaneously with China on January 22.

CTOnews.com, January 10 (Xinhua)-- according to the Hollywood Reporter, the Spring Festival domestic sci-fi blockbuster "wandering Earth 2" will be released simultaneously in North America on January 22, and will be released by Well Go USA.

Well Go said it will show "wandering Earth 2" in more than 125 North American cinemas, including 30 IMAX screens.

The movie "wandering the Earth 2" revolves around the prequel story of "wandering the Earth". The return of Liu Peiqiang, familiar to the audience, not only brings the story before he became an astronaut, but also presents his reluctance and difficult choices for his family in this crisis. In addition to being an engineer, the brand-new character Tu Hengyu is also facing unknown challenges in his dedication to keeping his daughter's life lost by accident in the "digital life world" forever.

In addition, Chinese Film also announced that "wandering Earth 2" will be released in Australia and New Zealand, but did not announce a specific time.

CTOnews.com learned that the previous domestic hit "wandering Earth" has also been released overseas, including North America, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, but the box office performance is mediocre, overall more than 7 million US dollars.

Well Go USA, which introduced wandering Earth 2 in North America, has rich experience in introducing domestic films such as "Ip Man 3", "the Devil Child of Nezha" and "Operation Red Sea" to the North American market, and all of them have achieved good box office results. We can look forward to the sea performance of "wandering Earth 2".
