CTOnews.com January 11, the Android13 system is providing a new way to screen record a single application instead of recording the contents of the entire screen.

Currently, when screen recording is performed on Android, all visible content on the phone is recorded, including any notifications, apps on the recent list, etc., which makes it possible to disclose privacy.

Google is studying a potential solution to this problem and is currently conducting Beta testing. Android 13 QPR2 has some experimental new UI for selecting a specific application for screen recording instead of recording the entire screen.

Real-time information about several recent apps is displayed in a dialog box similar to the Android sharing page, under which there is a larger list of apps to choose from. allows users to freely choose any specific application for screen recording.

The phrase "share or record an application" in the dialog box implies that users will also be used to project a phone screen onto another device. This will provide more privacy protection for people who cast the screen. for example, teachers can use this and that to show something to their students.

At the moment, however, this feature doesn't seem to work properly, and it's not surprising given that it's still a feature being tested.
