CTOnews.com news on January 12, according to the official account of "Yangtze River Delta Railway", the erection of box girders of Chihuang high-speed railway was completed on January 11, laying a solid foundation for the follow-up construction of bridge deck system, non-pierced roadbed and track laying.

Data show that there are 34 tunnels along the Chihuang high-speed railway, accounting for 60.8% of the total; a total of 55 extra-large and medium-sized bridges, accounting for 28.5% of the line length; and bridges and tunnels account for as high as 89.3%.

As an important part of the Wuhan-Hangzhou high-speed railway, the Chihuang high-speed railway line runs from Chizhou Station to Huangshan North Station. The new line is about 125 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

CTOnews.com learned that there are five stations in Chizhou, Jiuhuashan, Huangshan, Qixian East and Huangshan North, among which the Taiping Lake Bridge is a full-line control project.

The railway department said that when the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will become a golden tourism route connecting the core scenic spots of two mountains and one lake in southern Anhui (Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan and Taiping Lake). It is of great significance to improve the layout of the regional railway network, speed up the construction of the international cultural tourism demonstration zone in southern Anhui, and promote coordinated economic and social development along the route.
