Apple Safari browser Technical Preview 161Releases: compatible with macOS 13 Universe 12, fixes Bug and improves performance

CTOnews.com, January 13 (Xinhua)-- Apple today released an update to Safari Technology Preview, an experimental browser launched by Apple since March 2016. Apple has designed a technical preview of Safari to test features that may be introduced into future versions of Safari.

The current version of Safari Technology Preview is based on Safari 16 updates and includes support for features in macOS 13 Ventura, such as live text, common keys, Web extension improvements, and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Safari Technology Preview version 161 includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector,CSS,Rendering,JavaScript,Web Assembly,Media,Fullscreen API,HTML,Web API,WebGL and WebDriver.

The current Safari technology preview is version 16.4 and is compatible with devices running macOS 13 Ventura and macOS 12 Monterey. But it no longer applies to macOS Big Sur.

Anyone who downloads the browser can get the Safari Technology Preview update through the software update mechanism in the system settings.

Apple launched the Safari technology preview to collect feedback from developers and users on its browser development process. Safari Technology Preview can be run side by side with existing Safari browsers, although it is designed for developers, but it does not require a developer account to use.
