CTOnews.com, January 16, according to OnlyTech, Amazon has begun testing the new Amazon Prime Lite membership level.

According to OnlyTech, Amazon Prime Lite is priced at 999 rupees a year in India (currently about 83 yuan), while a standard Amazon Prime subscription costs 1499 rupees a year.

In terms of streaming, Amazon Prime Lite will provide users with all the content of standard Prime members, but the resolution is limited to HD, and the highest resolution (4K) video stream is not available. In addition, Prime Lite restricts users to log in to up to two devices at the same time, and one of them must be a mobile device.

It is worth mentioning that Amazon has launched a mobile-only streaming program in India, which costs only 599 rupees a year (currently about 49 yuan).

In addition, Amazon Prime Lite users don't have access to other benefits, whether it's Prime music, Prime games, e-books, or free EMI, which are available only to standard Amazon Prime members.

Amazon has yet to provide an official announcement about Prime Lite's Beta trial, so CTOnews.com doesn't know when the company will launch the test program or when Amazon is going to officially launch it, but we expect more details to emerge in the coming days.
