National Bureau of Statistics: hydropower decreased to increase in December, the growth rate of nuclear power slowed down, and the growth rate of wind power and solar power accelerated.

CTOnews.com January 17, the National Bureau of Statistics today released energy production in December 2022.

Production of large-scale industrial raw coal, crude oil, natural gas and electricity increased in December compared with the same period last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Compared with November, the growth rate of raw coal, crude oil and natural gas has slowed down, while the growth rate of electric power has accelerated.

In terms of power production, the growth rate of power production has been accelerated. In December, 757.9 billion kilowatt hours of electricity were generated, an increase of 3.0 percent over the same period last year, with a growth rate of 2.9 percent over the previous month, with an average of 24.45 billion kilowatt hours per day. In 2022, 8.4 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity will be generated, an increase of 2.2% over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that, specifically, in December, thermal power was basically flat, hydropower decreased to increase, the growth rate of nuclear power slowed down, and the growth rate of wind power and solar power accelerated. Where:

Thermal power increased by 1.3% over the same period last year, slightly slower than the previous month by 0.1%.

Hydropower increased by 3.6%, compared with a decrease of 14.2% last month

Nuclear power increased by 6.6%, 4.5 percentage points lower than last month.

Wind power increased by 15.4%, 9.7 percentage points faster than last month.

Solar power generation increased by 3.2%, 3.2 percentage points faster than last month.
