CTOnews.com, January 17, Apple tonight released a new Mac Mini with its new M2 and M2 Pro chips, and now Apple has stopped selling Intel-based Mac mini models.

Apple's discontinued Mac mini is equipped with an 3.0GHz 6-core eighth-generation Intel Core i5 chip, 8GB memory, and Intel UHD Graphics 630512GB SSD.

This model has now made way for the Mac mini with Apple's M2 Pro chip with 10 cores CPU. The new model has 16 cores GPU, 16GB unified memory and 512GB storage, and prices start at 9999 yuan.

The Mac Pro is now the only device sold by Apple with an Intel processor, and the company is continuing its transition to Apple Silicon.

In addition, Apple has stopped selling the Mac mini model with the M1 processor and has replaced it with the new M2 processor.

CTOnews.com learned that the new Mac mini will be ordered from January 19 and will go on sale on Friday, February 3.
