NetEase Cafe launches Blizzard Green Tea

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen SpectreAX for the clue delivery! Update: according to the pictures posted by netizens, NetEase canteen also launched "Blizzard Green Tea rape", "Blizzard Green Tea Little Party vegetable" and "Blizzard Green Tea cover vegetable".

According to CTOnews.com news on January 18, the "breakup" between NetEase and Blizzard has made a lot of noise recently, and the national service for games such as "World of Warcraft" and "Watch Pioneer" will be terminated on January 24, 2023. Yesterday, Blizzard announced that it proposed to extend the game service for six months, but NetEase did not accept it and accused Blizzard of being "outrageous and inappropriate".

Today, NetEase officially posted several photos of the company's new Blizzard Green Tea on the shelves of the park coffee bar, with the topic of "NetEase rejects Blizzard's proposal for a six-month extension", which seems to allude to Blizzard's "green tea" behavior.

CTOnews.com learned that many games partnered by NetEase and Blizzard will be terminated on the 24th, including World of Warcraft, hearthstone Legend, Watchman, StarCraft, Warcraft III: reset, Diablo III and Storm Hero. All Blizzard games represented by NetEase will stop service and close the recharge service and user registration entry of Blizzard game products in Battle.net and client.

NetEase also said, "some media have received rumors that NetEase wants Blizzard IP control." Here, we must seriously correct: as an agency, NetEase has never sought control of IP of Blizzard games or other partners. In the course of long-term cooperation over the past 14 years, NetEase has used and authorized any Blizzard IP in accordance with the terms of the contract and obtained Blizzard's consent and approval. IP cooperation with other partners is also based on this principle. "
