CTOnews.com, January 19-Apple is developing an Apple TV with a faster processor, according to a new report from Bloomberg. The device will be equipped with new chips and is expected to be available in the first half of 2024.

Graphic source PixabayCTOnews.com learned that the 2024 new generation of Apple TV will use the same design as the current Apple TV 4K, and Apple will not adjust its appearance much. Bloomberg said that although it will upgrade the chip, it is unlikely to support 8K video streams.

Major new features of the current Apple TV 4K (2022) include the A15 bionic chip, which supports HDR10+, starting at $129, the highest 128GB storage space, a thinner and lighter fanless design, and a newer Siri remote control.

In addition to minor updates to the Apple TV, Apple is also developing other smart home products. One of the devices combines Apple TV, smart speakers and FaceTime cameras into one, but the timing of the release is unclear because of some setbacks in its design.

Apple is also developing a smart display that can be used as a home Hub to control HomeKit devices, make FaceTime calls, and so on. The product could be launched as early as 2024.
