Uber CEO: there are no plans for company-wide layoffs at present

CTOnews.com, January 19 (Reuters)-Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday local time that there are no plans to cut jobs company-wide.

Speaking at an event in the Wall Street Journal during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, Khosrowshahi said Uber has been trying to cut costs for months, which is early enough for other companies.

Uber reported revenue of $8.343 billion (currently about 56.399 billion yuan) in the third quarter of 2022, up 72 per cent from a year earlier. Of this total, orders for ride-hailing services totaled US $13.7 billion (currently about 92.612 billion yuan), up 38 per cent from the same period last year.
