CTOnews.com learned that the RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM is equipped with three UD lenses, advanced coating technology such as ASC, and a NANO USM drive motor suitable for photo and video shooting, with nine round aperture blades, weighing about 935g and a size of about Φ 89.2x130.3 mm.

The optical structure of the RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM lens is designed for 12 groups of 17 lenses, using 3 UD lenses with low refraction and low dispersion. Officials say the UD lenses used this time have abnormal dispersion characteristics like fluorite, and 2 UD lenses can have roughly the same performance as 1 fluorite, which can effectively reduce axial chromatic aberration and magnification chromatic aberration.

The RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM lens also uses ASC (Air Sphere Coating) coating technology, which is also the first canon confocal lens to be equipped with an IS image stabilizer. It has a 5.5-level optical anti-shake, and can achieve up to 8 levels of cooperative anti-shake when matched with the EOS R-series camera with anti-shake body.

Canon RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM has a certain close-up shooting ability, with a recent focus distance of about 0.7m and a maximum magnification of about 0.26x.
