Texas Instruments has changed its coach, Haviv Ilan will serve as president and CEO

CTOnews.com Texas Instruments announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Haviv Ilan as its next President and CEO effective April 1.

Texas Instruments said Haviv Ilan, who has worked at Texas Instruments for 24 years, will succeed Texas Instruments 'current president and CEO Rich Templeton. The latter will step down in the next two months, but will continue to serve as chairman of the company.

CTOnews.com understands that TI said the transition was a carefully planned succession for the company, with Haviv Ilan promoted to senior vice president in 2014, executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2020, and elected to the board of directors in 2021.

The TI Board noted that succession planning is one of the Board's key responsibilities and that today's announcement was well thought out and carefully planned. During his 18 years as CEO, Rich transformed TI, refocused the company on analog and embedded processing, established an unparalleled capital allocation code, and increased free cash flow per share more than sixfold.
