CTOnews.com, January 21, WeRide recently announced that it will develop L4 self-driving solutions based on the development platform provided by Horizon 5 chip (referred to as "Journey 5 chip") and Weride One software solution, including domestic products such as domain controllers, in-vehicle operating systems and intelligent driving software to promote commercial and large-scale deployment.

Wenyuan Zhixing has successfully implemented the L4 self-driving product matrix layout covering self-driving taxis, self-driving minibuses, self-driving freight vehicles and self-driving sanitation vehicles. So far, autopilot mileage has accumulated more than 13 million kilometers.

Since the end of 2021, Wenyuan Zhixing L4 self-driving product has cooperated with Horizon in the field of L4 self-driving based on journey 5 to develop a central computing platform for self-driving taxis and self-driving minibuses, and is now working to promote commercial landing. On this basis, Wenyuan Zhixing will continue to cooperate with Horizon in in-depth research and development, based on Horizon Expedition 5 chip development platform to jointly explore and create L4 self-driving solutions.

CTOnews.com learned that by the end of 2022, cumulative shipments of the series of chips had exceeded 2 million. The Expedition 5 chip supports 128 TOPS high computing power, 1531 FPS strong performance, 60ms low latency, 30W low power consumption.
