Microsoft's new Win11 volume control is similar to EarTrumpet, and developers joke that "Microsoft is about to catch up."
CTOnews.com January 21, Microsoft is building a new audio control for Win11, and has released a preview version. However, developers of EarTrumpet, a third-party Windows audio application, point out that the new version of the control is very similar to its version.

EarTrumpet was launched five years ago and was developed by former Microsoft employees. Specifically, the app was developed by Dave Amenta, a former Microsoft engineer, and Microsoft MVP Rafael Rivera. "Microsoft is about to catch up with EarTrumpet," Rivera joked in his tweet.
