Without the need to purchase an activation key, users can install and use Win11 and all its features in the new version, as well as various developer tools.

Microsoft's official Win11 virtual machine is mainly built for four kinds of virtualization software: VMWare, second-generation Hyper-V, VirtualBox and Parallels.

Win11 virtual machines include Windows 11 Enterprise Edition (Evaluation Edition), Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition with UWP, .NET desktop, Azure, Windows App SDK for C# workloads, Windows subsystem for Linux with Ubuntu, Windows terminals, and developer mode.

Using Microsoft's pre-built virtual machine, developers can quickly create and test Windows applications on this platform, reducing the trouble and time of setting up virtual machines and manually downloading SDK.

It is also worth mentioning that the Win11 development environment now comes with Windows 11 version 22H2 or 2022 Update. Developers and curious customers do not need to manually install feature updates or upgrade their computers to Windows 11 22H2 to view the new features in Microsoft's latest operating system.
