CTOnews.com learned that due to global epidemic reports, the global podcast business has grown rapidly since 2019, with 337063 podcasts worldwide in 2019, and then explosive growth in 2020.

In the past 2022, although the number of podcasts worldwide has dropped sharply, more and more podcasts have begun to be published through the Ethereum platform. To be exact, there were 2,612,975 podcasts published via Ethereum in 2022. While that's down from 30 million podcasts in 2020, it's significantly higher than 18147074 in 2019.

Listen Notes statistics show that there are at least 3 million podcast channels worldwide, producing more than 154 million podcast episodes. Nearly 2 million podcasts are in the United States; Brazil is second with 196277 podcasts.

1.8 million podcast channels are broadcast in English, while 350752 are in Spanish. The data also showed that the most popular podcast types were social and cultural, educational and artistic.
