Canonical has alerted users that Ubuntu 18.04 LTS will end support on April 30, 2023, urging users to complete the upgrade as soon as possible.

Users may need to upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS before upgrading to 22.04 LTS. If you only want to upgrade once, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS can be used until April 2025.
