CTOnews.com, January 26 (Xinhua)-- telecom equipment maker Nokia expects sales to rise in 2023, benefiting from 5G deployments in India and other regions, Reuters reported.

"2023 is expected to be another year of growth," Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark said on a media conference call.

According to financial data, Nokia's fourth-quarter comparable operating profit rose to 1.15 billion euros (currently about 8.498 billion yuan) from 908 million euros last year (currently about 6.71 billion yuan), exceeding the average analyst forecast of 924.6 million euros (currently about 6.833 billion yuan).

CTOnews.com learned that Lundmark said in a statement: "looking ahead to 2023, although we note the uncertainty about the economic outlook, demand remains strong."

In addition, Nokia expects full-year net sales to range from 24.9 billion euros (currently about 184.011 billion yuan) to 26.5 billion euros (currently about 195.835 billion yuan), an increase of 2% to 8% year-on-year at constant exchange rates. Analysts expect 25.5 billion euros (currently about 1884.45 billion yuan).
