Li Hong, president of China Resources Microelectronics Co., Ltd., said that the project is expected to be put into production by the end of 2024 and will have an annual production capacity of 48,000 12-inch power chips after delivery.

According to Li Hong, the total investment in the first phase of the 12-inch featured process integrated circuit production line built by the company in Shenzhen exceeds 22 billion yuan, which will focus on motor drive, analog-to-digital conversion, micro-control devices and optoelectronic integration products, focusing on supporting applications in new energy vehicles, photovoltaic energy storage, Internet of things, sensors and other emerging fields, helping Guangdong to achieve regional agglomeration of integrated circuit development.

Tuyuan Pixabay said that the completion of the project will also form a linkage agglomeration effect with the upper and lower reaches of the industrial chain of design, packaging, and testing, meet the huge market demand for semiconductor products from Guangdong's rapid economic development, and help strengthen and optimize the electronic information industry belt on the east bank of the Pearl River and the advanced equipment manufacturing industry belt on the west coast of the Pearl River.
