According to the report, in Shenzhen, the first batch of digital RMB pilot cities, 100 million yuan of digital RMB red envelopes were distributed during the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, and the digital RMB cash red envelopes were divided into 28 yuan, 68 yuan, 168 yuan and 666 yuan. At the same time, Tianjin, Wenzhou, Jinan and other digital RMB pilot areas have also launched digital RMB consumption vouchers. According to the current preliminary statistics, the amount of digital RMB activities in the pilot areas exceeded 180 million yuan, effectively driving the Spring Festival consumption.

CTOnews.com learned that this year's Spring Festival digital RMB application scenarios are more diverse, covering department stores, transportation, cultural tourism and other fields.

The people's Bank of China said that in the future, it will continue to carry out the innovative application of digital RMB to achieve the interconnection between the digital RMB system and traditional electronic payment tools, so that consumers can "sweep in one code". Merchants can also support all kinds of payment tools without increasing costs.
