According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, dog owner Colin Mortimer found that the AirTag on the dog pen was missing one day. He used the Find My app to track AirTag and ask it to play the sound, and Mortimer heard a beep from the belly of his other dog, Sassy. Mortimer then made Sassy spit out AirTag in some way, but if he couldn't, he needed surgery.

In the Reddit community, a netizen's Doberman swallowed an AirTag, while another user reported seeing a dog eat an AirTag in the park. Foreign technology media MacRumors readers have also reported that they have witnessed similar incidents, which shows that it is not uncommon for dogs to accidentally eat AirTag.
