Apple gets New VR Patent: providing immersive streaming experience for wearers

CTOnews.com, February 1, according to a list released by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) today, Apple has obtained a patent for streaming immersive video content, providing a superior streaming experience for users wearing AR / VR headers.

Apple said in its patent that the technology provides immersive video content to the wearer of the head display in three dimensions. When the video content is output, the immersive video content can be dynamically presented according to the position and direction of the user's body, as well as the user's input requirements.

Figure 1 below shows an example system # 100 for rendering immersive video content to user # 102. The system # 100 includes a video content source # 104 that is coupled to the wearable display device # 106 through network # 108 communication.
