The experience is close to face-to-face chat, Logitech is developing a video chat room codenamed "Project Ghost"
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, February 1 (Xinhua)-- Logitech unveiled a dedicated video chat room codenamed "Project Ghost" on Tuesday, providing users with a more private and comfortable chat space.
Logitech's concept of this video chat room is a bit similar to Google's "Project Starline". Its core is to project images of the people to chat, thus achieving a level close to face-to-face chat.
CTOnews.com learned that unlike Google's Project Starline, Logitech's Project Ghost relies on elaborate sensors and camera arrays to create similar holograms and works with office furniture maker Steelcase to create a more comfortable chat space for users.
Logitech did not disclose the pricing and release date of the project, but foreign technology media The Verge believes it will not be less than 2000 US dollars (currently about 13520 yuan).
