CTOnews.com February 2 news, Sony financial data shows that as of December 31,2022, PlayStation 5 has shipped 32.1 million units worldwide. In the previous three months, PlayStation 5 shipments totaled 7.1 million units, up 3.1 million units from the same period last fiscal year.

CTOnews.com understands that PlayStation Plus subscribers were 46.4 million as of December 31, 2022, down 1.6 million from 48 million in the same period last fiscal year;PlayStation Network monthly active users were 112 million, up 1 million from 111 million in the same period last fiscal year.

In addition, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software sales totaled 86.5 million units in the three months ended December 31, 2022, down 6.2 million units from 92.7 million units sold in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Of those, 20.8 million were first-party games, up 9.5 million from 11.3 million in the same period last fiscal year. 62% of software sales were digital downloads of complete game software, which was unchanged from the previous year.
