CTOnews.com, February 2, according to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway sold 155.45 BYD H shares on January 27, 2023, valued at HK $351.81 million (currently about 303 million yuan, or US $44.85 million), reducing BYD's H shares from 13.04% to 12.9%, while still holding 141.617642 million shares.

Berkshire Hathaway reduced its stake in 105.8 million BYD H shares on January 3, with an average price of 191.44 Hong Kong dollars per share, with a total value of about 203 million Hong Kong dollars.

On September 29, 2008, Berkshire Hathaway subscribed 225 million BYD shares in Hong Kong for $230 million at HK $8 a share. On August 24, 2022, Buffett, who had held shares for 14 years, reduced his holdings for the first time.

In December last year, Li Ke, executive vice president of BYD, said that although Berkshire Hathaway sold more than a stake in the company in 2022, its founder and "god of stock" Warren Buffett was still very optimistic about BYD's future and would never give it up.

CTOnews.com learned that BYD's 2022 performance forecast shows that the company's annual operating income is expected to exceed 420 billion yuan in 2022, realizing a net profit of 16 billion yuan to 17 billion yuan belonging to shareholders of listed companies, an increase of 425.42% and 458.26% over the same period last year. BYD sold a total of 1868543 cars in 2022. BYD sold 151341 new energy vehicles in January 2023, up 62.44% from January 2022.
