CTOnews.com, February 2 (Xinhua)-- Apple seems to be preparing an update for the official version of iOS 16.3.1 for iPhone, according to an analysis by MacRumors. It is not clear when the update will be released, but it is likely to be released sometime in February.

Similar analysis has accurately predicted previous releases of updates, including the most recent iOS 16.0.3 and iOS 16.1.1. Minor updates like iOS 16.3.1 usually focus on bug Bug fixes, stability improvements, and security patches.

In the meantime, we still need to wait for the arrival of the iOS 16.4 Beta beta, which may have some more important new feature updates. Apple's previously announced but not yet released iOS features include Apple Pay Later for Apple Pay Later, Apple Card Daily Cash savings account options, selective Web push notifications via Safari, and so on, but it is not clear whether these features will appear in iOS 16.4.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple released iOS 16.3 in late January, which supports physical security keys as a two-factor authentication option for Apple ID accounts, advanced data protection for extended iCloud encryption, new Black Unity wallpaper to celebrate Black History month, emergency SOS distress adjustments and support for second-generation HomePod speakers.

In recent weeks, as Apple employees have been testing updates internally, evidence of iOS 16.4 and iOS 17 has also appeared in the MacRumors website analysis log. IOS 17 is expected to be unveiled at Apple's annual developer conference WWDC in June.
