CTOnews.com February 4 news, free and open source streaming software OBS Studio recently released version 29.0.1 update, fixing several problems in version 29.0.

OBS Studio 29.0.1 fixed a possible crash when using Wayland and trying to use automatic scene switching on the Linux platform, as well as the inability to take screenshots on X11.

CTOnews.com learned that this version also fixed a problem where the noise reduction filter property might pop up a "NVIDIA AUDIO Effects SDK obsolete" message without SDK installed. Also fixed a crash when NVIDIA's audio effects filter was then uninstalled with SDK.

This update also fixes issues such as crashes at startup when applications are minimized, errors in custom FFmpeg output mode, where RTMP (Real-time messaging Protocol) forces some encoders, and incorrect applications that cannot be correctly output by alpha when set up to use the BGRA color format.

Open Broadcaster Software is a free and open source cross-platform streaming and video program developed by OBS Project. The program supports Windows 8, MacOS 10.13 and Ubuntu 18.04 and above operating system versions.
