According to the statistical analysis of the China Automobile Association, in 2022, the enterprises (groups) with the top 10 car sales sold a total of 23.148 million vehicles, accounting for 86.2% of the total car sales.

The China Automobile Association said that compared with the same period last year, BYD's share sales growth was the most obvious, Chery and GAC GROUP also showed double-digit growth, Geely Holdings and Changan Motor increased slightly, while other companies declined to varying degrees.

CTOnews.com learned that the top 10 enterprises (groups) announced by the China Automobile Association in 2022 are SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng, GAC GROUP, Chang'an Automobile, BYD shares, BAIC, Geely Holdings, Chery Automobile, and Great Wall Motor.

In terms of new energy vehicles, China's new energy vehicles continued to grow explosively in 2022, with production and sales of 705.8 and 6.887 million vehicles respectively, an increase of 96.9% and 93.4% respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 25.6%, up 12.1% from the previous year. Specifically, in 2022, sales of pure electric vehicles were 5.365 million, up 81.6% from a year earlier, and plug-in hybrid sales were 1.518 million, a 1.5-fold increase over the same period last year.
