CTOnews.com February 7 news, Zhejiang Provincial Communications Administration today issued an App notice on violations of the rights and interests of users (the first batch of 2023), a total of 10.

According to the "Network Security Law", "Telecommunication regulations", "provisions on the Protection of personal Information of Telecommunications and Internet users" and other laws and regulations, and in accordance with the "notice on carrying out in-depth Promotion of the Special rectification Action of App infringing upon the Rights and interests of users" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (2020) No.164), our bureau recently organized a third-party testing organization to test 27 mobile applications. Among them, 22 App have related problems, such as "illegal collection of personal information", "out-of-scope collection of personal information", "illegal use of personal information", "forcing users to use directional push function" and other related problems. Our bureau has written requests for rectification of App-related enterprises within a time limit.

Up to now, there are still 10 App models that have not been rectified (see the following figure for details). The above-mentioned App should be completed and implemented before February 13. If there is no rectification within the time limit, the Zhejiang Communications Administration will deal with it in accordance with the rules and regulations.

CTOnews.com checked the chart and found that the 10 reported App were related to transportation ticketing, housing rental, online audio and video, and used car transactions, with application sources including 360mobile assistant, Huawei App Store, Meizu app market, vivo app market and YingYongBao.
