AMC, the largest chain of cinemas in the United States, said it would introduce regional prices and set three different ticket prices for different seats in the same movie hall.

It is reported that the new pricing plan is called Sightline. Adjust fares according to the seats of the audience during peak hours: the best seat in the middle of the cinema will be higher, while the price of the front seat will be lower.

Standard seats are only available for traditional fares; value seats are currently available only for AMC Stubs members, located in the front row of cinemas, and also include handicapped accessible seats for each cinema at a lower price; preferred seats are usually located in the best seats in cinemas at slightly higher prices than standard seats, with AMC Stubs A List members booking at no extra cost.

The service will be launched in cities such as New York and Chicago on Friday and will be expanded to more than 1000 cinemas across the United States this year. At the same time, the current Sightline pricing mechanism will only be used in screenings after 4pm (not applicable on Tuesday's discount day). It is expected that by the end of 2023, all viewers of AMC will pay their tickets according to the "Sightline" pricing plan.

AMC shares rose after the news, closing up 11.84% as of February 6 local time.
