CTOnews.com, February 8, the upcoming Fedora Linux 38 release will be available in both Fedora Budgie and Fedora Sway Spin versions. Fedora Budgie Spin uses the Budgie desktop environment; Fedora Sway uses the Sway window manager.

CTOnews.com Lecture: the Budgie Desktop is a desktop environment independently developed for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems, originally created by Ikey Doherty for the Solus distribution. Budgie is now actively maintained by a team of contributors led by Joshua Strobl and can be used for distributions such as Arch Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora Linux.

After the release of Fedora 38 at the end of April or early May this year, the official Fedora Budgie Spin version will be available, which can be downloaded from the official Spins page of Fedora.

Sway is a synthesizer for Wayland and an alternative to x11's i3 window manager. It works with your existing i3 configuration and supports most of the features of i3 as well as some additional features. The Fedora Engineering steering Committee (FESCo) has previously accepted the proposal and announced the release of the Fedora Sway Spin version.
