Indian officials meet with Foxconn executives to persuade it to open a factory in Karnataka
CTOnews.com, February 9 (Xinhua) Indian Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Wednesday that the southern Indian state of Karnataka is in serious negotiations with Foxconn on an investment plan in the hope that Foxconn will open factories in the state to boost employment.

Karnataka is a state of India, located in the south of India. As the IT hub of India, Bangalore, the capital of the state, is known as the "Silicon Valley of India". Karnataka has a population of more than 60 million, the top 10 most populous state in India; Bangalore alone has a population of more than 4.5 million, but other cities in the state have a population of less than 1 million.
