Stevie launches 2.3MP vehicle gauge class Sensor+ISP two-in-one global shutter image sensor

CTOnews.com, February 9 (Xinhua)-- CMOS manufacturer Stevie SmartSens has launched a new 2.3MP Sensor+ISP two-in-one vehicle gauge-level image sensor-- SC233AT, which can be used in cabin imaging applications such as driver monitoring system (DMS) and passenger monitoring system (OMS).

According to officials, the new product is Stevie's first car image sensor with the new LightBox IR technology, which can achieve clearer near-infrared imaging and provide accurate image information for DMS / OMS systems in dark light.

This technology claims to effectively improve the near infrared sensitivity of the image sensor, through the introduction of improved deep trench isolation (DTI) to achieve better pixel isolation and night vision performance, and can further reduce direct crosstalk (Crosstalk) caused by different pixels, and can obtain clear images of the driver and cabin in the low-light vehicle environment, ensuring the accuracy of artificial intelligence training and algorithm recognition.

SC233AT also uses SmartGS-2 global shutter technology, relying on SFCPixel and single-frame inflection point HDR technology, which claims to provide high-quality images with clear details even in low light or strongly varying light conditions.

As a new product of the Stevie Automotive Sensor (AT) Series series, SC233AT meets the requirements of AEC-Q100 Grade 2 and functional safety ISO 26262 ASIL B.

CTOnews.com has learned that SC233AT, which is available in black and white and RGB-IR, has accepted samples and is expected to achieve mass production in Q2 in 2023.
