The Federation said that the negative growth in the overall market in January was in line with industry expectations, with retail sales of fuel vehicles falling 45.1 per cent year-on-year in January and retail sales of new energy down 6.3 per cent year-on-year.

In terms of specific models, sales of new energy vehicles reached 332000 in January, down 6.3% from the same period last year and 48.3% from the previous month. BYD Song's January sales rose 139.9% from a year earlier, ranking first again, followed by 17582 dolphins, up 65.8% from a year earlier, and Wuling Hongguang MINIEV sales fell to 16416.

The Federation said that since the change in the mode of closure and control, residents' travel has returned to normal, market activity has significantly rebounded, consumer confidence has gradually increased, and travel to their hometown during the Spring Festival holiday has led to a substantial increase in social life activity.
