Moment launches anamorphic 1.55X morphing lens, which allows iPhone to take movie-grade ultra-wide photos and videos.
CTOnews.com February 10 news, mobile phone accessories manufacturer Moment on Thursday launched anamorphic 1.55X anamorphic lens, installed on the iPhone can make photos and videos taken with movie-quality ultra-wide screen effect.
The company brings a brand new 1.55X anamorphic lens to the existing anamorphic 1.33X anamorphic lens. The 1.55x fits the iPhone frame better than the 1.33x and offers a movie-quality texture.
CTOnews.com reminds that to install this 1.55X anamorphic lens on the iPhone, you also need to use it with Moment's iPhone case, which is fixed by a custom bayonet system.
Users can also use the Moment Pro Camera app, which automatically compresses images or videos to reduce post-production workload.
Filmmakers use anamorphic lenses because they allow the camera to get closer to the subject while still keeping the environment in the picture. They also produce wide horizontal lens flares from light sources that standard lenses cannot capture.
The Moment 1.55x Mobile Anamorphic Lens is now pre-ordered at a discounted price of $119.99 (currently about 815 yuan), and will return to $149.99 (currently about 1018 yuan). Orders now will begin shipping in March of this year.
