Samsung has been donating to help people in natural disasters. The company donated $1 million (currently about 6.78 million yuan) after the 2010 Haiti earthquake, $760000 (currently about 5.153 million yuan) during the 2011 earthquake in Japan, and $1 million (currently about 6.78 million yuan) after the typhoon in the Philippines in 2013.
