Apple Patent enables interactive 3D preview between two devices
CTOnews.com, February 10 (Xinhua)-- Apple's patent for "systems and methods for interactive 3D preview" has recently been announced. The patent allows people to see a three-dimensional preview in a three-dimensional environment and can be displayed at the same time with two-dimensional content, and can interact with virtual objects in the same space.
The present disclosure relates to a system and method for interactive 3D preview. " Three-dimensional data can be synchronized between the first electronic device and the second electronic device. The content creation application can be run on the first electronic device and can utilize a data file describing three-dimensional content items. A two-dimensional representation of the content item can be displayed on the first electronic device.
CTOnews.com learned that users can request a preview of a two-dimensional representation of the content item in three dimensions. The first electronic device may initiate data transmission with the second electronic device. The three-dimensional data of the data file may create a three-dimensional graphics rendering application transmitted to the second electronic device from the contents of the first electronic device via a communication link. The 3D graphics rendering application can generate a 3D preview of the content item based on the received 3D data.
