CTOnews.com, February 11 (Xinhua)-- Jony Ive, former chief design officer of Apple, recently designed a new royal badge for King Charles' coronation. King Charles of England will be crowned in May 2023 and Buckingham Palace has unveiled a new badge that will be unveiled throughout the celebration.

Evey designed two versions in English and Welsh and talked about the design inspiration for the badge. CTOnews.com is translated as follows:

It is an honor to contribute to this extraordinary national event, and our team is very proud of this work. The design is inspired by King Charles' love for the earth and nature, as well as his deep concern for the natural world.

This badge expresses the happy optimism of spring and celebrates the beginning of the new Carolean era in England. I hope to use this badge to convey the meaning of elegance, gentleness and humility, and to highlight the importance of the coronation ceremony.

The logo is designed to match the British flag in red, white and blue, and features roses in England, thistles in Scotland, daffodils in Wales and clover in Northern Ireland.
