Beijing, February 14 (Xinhua)-- Meta announced that Chief Business Officer Marne Levine, who has worked at Meta for nearly 13 years, will leave.

Marne Levine will stay on until February 21 and then become a regular employee until he officially leaves in the summer. Meta said in a statement that Nicola Mendelsohn and Justin Osofsky will take over their duties and become senior leaders in charge of sales and cooperation, reporting to Javier Olivan, chief operating officer.

Previously, Marne Levine served as Vice President of Facebook Global Public Policy, Chief operating Officer of Instagram, and Vice President of Global Cooperative Business and Corporate Development of Facebook. Marne Levine is the first chief operating officer of Instagram, and under her leadership Instagram has become the core App of Meta.

Marne Levine became the chief commercial officer of Facebook in the summer of 2021, and a few months later Facebook changed its name to Meta and made its way into meta-universe.

Before joining Facebook, Marne Levine served as chief of staff for members of the White House National Economic Council. She was also Assistant to the President for Economic Policy (APEP). She worked at the Treasury Department as early as Clinton.
