According to the report, the supply chain shows that Huawei's new phone will start mass production in March, and the new Mate X series will be folded as thick as the iPhone.

They believe that the new machine may be available at the end of the first quarter or the beginning of the second quarter, and the current initial mass production plan will reach 1.47 million units, and will be adjusted according to market conditions after the launch. In addition, Huawei will launch a new series of Pocket models in the second half of the year to further expand the market.

Mate Xs 2CTOnews.com has reported that market research firm IDC recently released a report on shipments of folding screen phones in China in 2022. Data show that China's folding screen mobile phone market shipped nearly 3.3 million units in 2022, an increase of 118% over the same period last year. The share of folding screen mobile phones in the entire mobile phone market has risen to 1.2% from 0.5% in 2021 and is expected to maintain growth in 2023.

IDC said Huawei has become an absolute leader in China's folding screen mobile phone market. With Huawei Pocket S, Mate Xs 2, P50 Pocket, Mate X2 and other major models, Huawei folding screen phones occupy 47.4% of the market share, ranking first.
