CTOnews.com February 14 news, NSC Technology today launched a new dual-port fast charge (1C1A) SoC-SC9712 with integrated 36V high-efficiency synchronous step-down controller.

Officials said that compared with the traditional dual-port charging scheme, the selection of SC9712 can save three chips, greatly simplify the circuit design of the multi-port fast charger, facilitate product development, and realize fast charging with dual USB ports (1C1A, Type C + USB A).

According to reports, the SC9712 scheme can provide up to 140W (28V5A) charging power for portable devices such as computers, tablets and mobile phones.

In terms of parameters, SC9712's Type C interface is DFP interface, which supports Type C protocol and USB PD 2.0 Universe 3.0C3.1 protocol; DPDM interface can also support fast charging protocols such as Apple 2.4A mode / BC1.2/ DCP/ HVDCP/ FCP/ SCP / UFCS; and USB-An interface supports automatic detection of charging devices to identify the status of Apple charging lines. SC9712 is intelligently compatible with a variety of the latest fast charging protocols, including Apple 2.4A mode / BC1.2/ DCP/ HVDCP/ AFC/ FCP/ SCP.

SC9712 supports total output power up to 140W, dual port output all supports CC / CV mode, NTC temperature monitoring, and provides a variety of protection mechanisms, including over-voltage protection, over-current protection, short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, effective protection of chips and systems. It is packaged with 32pin 4mm X 4mm QFN.
