This test is the first test of the engine from the scheme stage to the initial stage, which marks a new stage in the engineering development of 80-ton reusable liquid oxygen methane engine.

On the same day, the calibration test of the last stage rocket engine of the long triple A series was a complete success at the institute, opening the normal high-density "high-speed" mission mode.

According to the CTOnews.com inquiry, the 80-ton reusable liquid oxygen methane engine has a ground thrust of 80 tons, a vacuum thrust of 90 tons, and a starting capacity of 3-4 times. It can be used as a power plant for the round-trip transportation system, reusable launch vehicles and low-cost disposable launch vehicles, and has a wide application prospect.

In addition, the 80-ton liquid oxygen methane engine can not only achieve large-scale thrust regulation, autonomous state monitoring and fault diagnosis, but also quickly test without firing, and can fly again in 48 hours. The engine adopts full electronic control and has "intelligent brain", that is, health monitoring and fault diagnosis system, which can meet the needs of overall task reconstruction.
