CTOnews.com February 15, Microsoft released the latest preview version of WinGet 1.5.441 today. The new version mainly updates the PowerShell module, optimizes cmdlet output, and adds experimental support for fixed package (package pinning).

This is the second development version for Win10 (1809 and later) and Win11 after Windows Package Manager 1.4. This version is available for Windows Insider Dev Channel Preview and Windows Package Manager Insiders.

Some new experimental features such as fixed package (package pinning) are enabled in the new version, and users can run winget features to see which experimental features are enabled or disabled.

Add the following to your settings (winget settings) file, after which you can start the package pinning feature:
