KDE Plasma 5.27 LTS Desktop release: introducing new Plasma Welcome applications
CTOnews.com February 15, the KDE project team recently announced the release of the KDE Plasma 5.27 desktop environment for the GNU / Linux distribution. One of the most noteworthy improvements is the Plasma Welcome app, where the new interface allows new users to quickly configure options.
Another feature of KDE Plasma 5.27 is improved support for large screens. Users can use Meta (Super) + T keyboard shortcuts to enable and configure tiling mode, with three layouts to choose from. You can dock windows in a tiled layout by holding down the Shift key and dragging them to the edge of the screen.
KDE Plasma 5.27 also optimizes support for multiple monitors, adding display configuration widgets by default in the system tray area to help you change screen layout and other settings more quickly.
KDE Plasma now integrates Flatpak permission settings into the system setup application, giving you complete control over your Flatpak application.
