CTOnews.com, February 17, AMD announced today that AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (Super Resolution Sharp, or FSR) 2.2, the latest version of AMD's advanced cross-platform time domain sampling magnification technology, is now available on GPUOpen.com to help game developers access open source API and source code.

According to reports, AMD FSR technology is designed to improve the frame rate of supported games and provide incredible image quality. FSR 2.2 further improves the image quality to reduce ghosting when moving objects quickly, based on the magnified image quality improvement provided by FSR 2.1. The widely adopted AMD FSR technology, including FSR 1 and FSR 2 iterations, is now supported in 250 games that have been released or are about to be released, and the number of supported games is still growing.

AMD will announce more information about its image magnification solution and other technologies at the Game developers Conference (GDC) on March 20-24, 2023, designed to help game developers provide greater performance and visual fidelity in the latest games. At that time, AMD experts on GDC will explore more topics, including AMD FidelityFX technology, Microsoft DirectStorage, and AMD Radeon developer toolkits.
