CTOnews.com, February 18, according to Reuters, Microsoft has approached a number of advertising owners to discuss how to put ads in the new ChatGPT-based Bing to explore ways to cash in.

The report points out that Microsoft is considering placing ads in the generated response content and has begun testing it. Microsoft has previously said that every 1 percentage point increase in search market share earns an extra $2 billion a year.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Microsoft also recently raised the charge for Bing Search API by up to 1000%. This shows that Microsoft is actively looking to make a return on its investment in the new Bing.

It is reported that Microsoft has tested advertising in the new version of Bing, where it will be implanted in user responses. Microsoft has been in contact with Michael Cohen, executive vice president of advertiser Horizon Media, and the two partners plan to launch ads. Cohen also indicates that the space below the response generated by AI can place advertisements.
