Musk has always thought that artificial intelligence is dangerous and called it "the greatest threat we face as a civilized society." Musk also believes that Microsoft needs to turn off the ChatGPT-like feature in Bing search. "it's not secure enough."

Musk and Sam Altman and other technology leaders co-founded OpenAI in 2015, but Musk left the OpenAI board in 2018 and no longer owns a stake in the company because of a potential conflict of interest between Tesla's smart driving skills and OpenAI.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft recently announced a further multi-billion dollar investment in OpenAI (OpenAI is the artificial intelligence research laboratory behind ChatGPT), building on the bet on OpenAI nearly four years ago. Microsoft invested $1 billion in 2019. Microsoft Azure Global Enterprise customers can now directly call OpenAI models, including GPT-3, Codex, and DALL.E models. Microsoft has also launched a new version of Bing search, Edge browser and advanced Teams products supported by ChatGPT.
