The father of the Internet "shelled" cryptocurrency: as dangerous as gambling

On February 20, Beijing time, Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World wide Web, said in a program that cryptocurrency is as dangerous as gambling. If digital currency is converted into legal tender as soon as it is received, then digital currency is useful for remittances.

Berners-Lee was praised for inventing the World wide Web in 1989, but he was never satisfied with the way the original vision of the network was realized. And hope to reshape the future of the Internet through their own companies, so that people can have better control over their data.

Mr Berners-Lee compares digital money with the dotcom bubble, where stocks are usually not supported by a solid business, so they are highly inflated, he says: from this point of view, it is really dangerous.

"cryptocurrencies are not currencies, commodities or securities." The 99-year-old Munger also said that cryptocurrency is a bet, and gambling houses have an almost 100% advantage, and the United States should now enact a new federal law banning cryptocurrency.
