Volvo recalls some imported V60, V90CC, XC90 cars: hardware and software compatibility of brake control module is unstable
CTOnews.com, February 20, according to the website of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, Volvo Automobile sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.

A total of 106 2023 V60 cars were produced from August 11, 2022 to January 13, 2023.
A total of 185 V90CC cars in 2023 were produced from October 11, 2022 to January 13, 2023.
A total of 3812 XC90 cars in 2023 were produced from October 11, 2022 to January 13, 2023.
CTOnews.com noted that some vehicles within the scope of this recall may be mistakenly set to a fault state due to the unstable compatibility between the software and hardware of the brake control module, resulting in the loss of braking power and safety risks.
Volvo Automobile sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will upgrade the brake control module software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through authorized dealers. And it is planned to update the brake control module software of the vehicle by means of remote vehicle upgrade (OTA) from March 17, 2023. If the vehicle cannot be recalled through the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology, the Volvo authorized dealer will actively contact the relevant users to upgrade the software for the vehicle free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
